We are excited to be offering this unique training programme within our Finance department starting in September 2024, where you’ll be given the opportunity to learn directly alongside our energy industry experts to become the Energia leaders of tomorrow. You will join the programme with fellow graduates across the business where you will have the opportunity to develop your professional skills such as presenting to influencing, project management to negotiations, creativity and innovation.  

You will gain invaluable experience and insights into how the energy industry works and become an integral part of the team by taking an active role in helping us achieve our goals. You’ll also be assigned an experienced mentor and a buddy who will relay their knowledge to assist with your ongoing skills development, helping you take your first steps towards becoming a future leader within our business.

Our programme is structured to bring out the very best in you and give you the opportunity to excel in a commercial role, where being curious and inquisitive are key attributes for success.  You will have the opportunity to develop your professional skills via hands on experience and / or complete accredited exams.  The choice is yours.

Our finance team is represented across 3 core business segments (Renewables, Flexible Generation and Customer Solutions) with corporate finance, treasury, tax functions and accounts payable centralised within Energia Group.  In addition to the centralised functions, we also have system transformation, analytics, modelling, compliance and settlements. Our highly skilled and committed finance teams operate in a fast-paced dynamic environment which have successfully supported the businesses throughout periods of organisational growth and industry change. Successful candidates will be placed into a finance function that will be best suited to them and their skills and experience.

What you'll need

  • Have obtained a minimum of a 2:2 degree, in a relevant discipline by September 2024.
  • Demonstrable understanding of key financial concepts, processes, and controls.
  • A keen interest in the energy industry and finance.
  • Strong attention to numerical detail and analytical acumen.
